I am so excited spring is finally here! Beauty wise, it's time to splash out on the pinks and bright lips which I cannot wait to start wearing. March was a good month, I got recognised at work which felt really great as all my hard work is starting to pay off. Also March was the month I decided to throw myself back in to blogging and boy I'm glad I did. I forgot how much fun this is! So here's what I've been loving over the past month...
1. Starstruck – Rosie for Autograph
By now, many of you will have heard that Rosie
Huntington-Whitely has paired up with Autograph at Marks & Spencer’s to
create a beautiful make-up range. I tried out the lipsticks in the store and I
have to say they are b-e-a-utiful! If I wasn’t on a budget that day, I would’ve
bought them all! So I opted for one item in particular that caught my eye which
was the contour stick in the colour Starstruck.
How I use it: I mark my face with the contour stick along
the hollows of my cheeks and up past my temples to meet in the middle of my
forehead keeping to the very edge of my hair line. I then line the sides of my
nose and then my jaw line. I then get a beauty blender and smudge in upward
movements so that I don’t lose the shape of the contour.
The contour stick blends really easily with a beauty blender
and I found the stick really easy to use with its rounded smooth surface. The
packaging of the entire range is really pretty too. It’s a metallic gold with
Rosie’s signature on it. The lipsticks have small crested roses on them too.
Such a nice touch!
2.
Naked Urban Decay – Flushed Palette
I absolutely adore Urban Decay’s Naked range so of course
there had to be something included from it in my March favourites. This cheek
and face palette are really beautiful and fit one another brilliantly. The
highlighter is my go to highlighter when touching up and the bronzing shade is
nice and subtle against my skin tone. The Blusher is a little too pink for
winter but will be perfect now that we are hitting the spring season again.
3.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo – Pink Gold
This cream eye-shadow is in my favourites as I use it pretty
much every day. It’s great as a base for pink and gold shimmery tones which I
have been wearing a lot recently. I pair it with copper from my Naked Palette 2
use the colour tease for the crease of my eye. The colour is also gorgeous on
its own.
4. Billion Dollar Brow – Universal Brow Pencil
I have really struggled to find an easy and quick to use
brow pencil that I really love. I wanted one that I can just quickly line and
blend in when I’m in a rush in the mornings before work when I don’t have the
time to get my eyebrows on fleek! This pencil is perfect. It’s not thin so it
doesn’t break and it’s not too thick so you can still get some great lines. As I
have fair hair I don’t tend to push down too hard with the pencil, I just line
and blend and it suits me perfectly. You can build over your brows with this
product if you have darker hair too.
5. Essie Nail Lacquer Duo in colours 275 and
14
I bought these shades as a duo from Boots not long ago. The
nude pink shade is really pretty and delicate but the overcoat of sparkle is
what did it for me. I love showing off my hands when I’m wearing this nail
varnish and I’m always complimented on how pretty it is. Plus I have some other
pretty pastel colours that I’d like to pair up the glitter with like a lilac or
duck-egg blue.
I really love glittery nail varnishes, the only down side to the Essie shades are that they don't have characteristic names to make you remember them by. That's what I loved about the Morgan Taylor Cinderella Nail Varnish Collection.
6. Chloe by Chloe
Even though I wear this scent all year round, I especially
love it in the spring as it’s such a light a floral scent that just reminds me
of beautiful green grass, flowers and sunny skies. I was bought this as a gift
over Christmas and started to wear it every day over March. It’s definitely my
go-to spring scent.
7. This Works – Deep Sleep Pillow Spray
This really does work! This pillow spray has become part of
my nightly routine. The scent is a lovely (and natural) Lavender, Vetivert and
Wild Camomile. I spritz it a couple of times over my pillows and have noticed
that I drift off much faster and wake up feeling more refreshed. I don’t know
whether it’s because my brain now associates the smell of Lavender with sleep
but it has been brilliant. I couldn’t do without it being part of my bedtime
routine.
What were your favourite's over March? I'd love to know, leave me a comment below.
Love Amber x
